Pate's Paradise Lost

City Council. Wow. Big trouble here in Pate's Paradise. Just goes to show what happens when you don't meet for six weeks -- judging by the pile of papers and documents at each commissioner's elbow. ...Anyone else who watched all five hours at home probably needed to sleep in the next day just to get rid of the brain fog accumulated from being exposed to so much confusion. ...Even then the question still remains, "What just happened?"

So, crossbows are in for the fall deer hunt and hunters don't have to wear orange and Mayor Pate already found a bloody crossbow arrow on Grand Avenue... Does anyone else get a bad feeling about how this may end up? ...I can't wait for bleeding, wounded deer to be staggering around town scaring kids and tourists. ...Interesting that the initial proposed date for the hunt was the eve of the Feast of St. Francis. Now there's a big tourist hook. ...Thanks to Mr. DeVito for stepping in and proposing a date not rife with tourists out in the woods ogling the annual fall colors as arrows whiz by...or maybe in.

A shout out to jverity for the email on wing vents and bench seats. It was great reminiscing about all those cool things that got replaced by ... nothing. ...Does anyone else out there remember suicide knobs?

Speaking of emails:

Miss Lydia, you can just pack up your keyboard. I'm not opening any email with the subject line My dearest one from someone I don't know. ...I do suggest, however, that you instead email Abdul Zongo, Kofo Ahmadu, Yusuf Karim and/or the UN Grant Notification. ...These folks apparently have anywhere from five to hundreds-of-millions of dollars ready to deposit into your bank account as soon as you send account numbers and passwords. ...If that actually works, then please do email me again.

And you, tonstant weader, can email me without offering money at oliverdeplace@hotmail.com, or check my page on Facebook... at least that way somebody will be doing it since I can't remember my password. Meanwhile, read a good book. To wit:
