Zeek Taylor's Middle of the Night Lucinda Wainwright won the popular vote at Zark's. The deep blue ground and yellow stars were as enchanting as the lady in question, a finely festooned shrimp-size chimp. Zeek gave his matchbox shrine a shorter title than the title he gave the Arkansas Democrat which included the phrase ...who visits me at 2 am. Zeek stayed within the rules and kept his shrine to the size of the matchbox.

Always one to test the rules, Carol Peacock went outside the box by employing golden spirit guides to fill the air with song in her entry, Singing Outside the Box.

Jack Clancey enshrined his last magic bean in My Last Magic Bean. This handsome shrine was the low price leader at twelve dollars. The lovely addition of a sold sticker to the title card testified to the magic of the magic bean, which was a kidney bean.

A pint size cutout Dale Evans graced the painted and decorated Kitchen Matchbox shrine of Sara Armenellini's Thank Heavens for Dale Evans. A smattering of golden lasso looking traceries and Dale Evans memorabelia enshrined the beloved star from TVs golden age.

Eureka Fine Art is featuring local favorite artists James Yale, Carol Peacock and Julie Kahn Valentine.

Julie's latest carnival clad figure compositions have a pleasing softness. The softness in the figures suggests a forgiving nature while the outfits are festive and as performance oriented as ever.

Carol Peacock has a pair of paintings featuring images of local favorites Chuck Onofrio playing the bass and Opal Fly drifting in musical bliss titled Blonde Bass and And the Band Played On.

James Yale's The Mer Family recaptures the magic of fine art realism. A baby mermaid suckles his mother's breast as the fish-tailed father figure watches over the sunning mermaid family.
