Rained out astronomy program rescheduled at Hobbs

The rained out astronomy program scheduled for July 5 at Hobbs State Park - Conservation Area has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 19. This marks the fourth of 6 scheduled astronomy programs at HSP-CA for 2008. The 8:30 program will take place at the park's Hidden Diversity, Multi-Use Trail parking lot on Townsend Ridge Road.
The Sugar Creek Astronomical Society will present the program and provide several high-powered telescopes for the event. On July 19th the full moon will rise at 9:33 p.m. Sunset is 8:33 p.m. so there should be about an hour and a half of good viewing. This program is designed for beginning astronomers. Children/scout groups, adults, and families are welcome. |
