Ø This year's Feat Fest has stirred up a hornet's nest of live entertainment which looks to be the don't-miss musical highpoint of the year.

  The momentum generated by last year's Feat Fest has expanded exponentially throughout town. There's a full list of goings-on below which includes:

* A Save-Our-Music benefit with New Orleans' Soul Rebels Brass Band at Chelsea's on Friday;

* Earl and Them in the Basin Park Hotel's Barefoot Ballroom with Earl Cate, Jimmy Thackery, Terry Cagle, R.J. Mischo and John Davies;

* Vince Herman opening for Little Feat in the Auditorium on Friday and Saturday nights;

* A House Concert with Stacey Earle & Mark Stuart at the Unitarian Church on Wednesday.

  For a little town at the end of the unknown universe, there sure is a lot going on.

Kinky Feat

* It's Feat Fest! The Lucky 13 Starlight Cinema will screen Kinky Boots on Sunday evening, Sept. 16, beginning at dusk after the gates open at 6 p.m.

  Fred Tackett & Friends will play and the evening's pre-movie entertainment will also feature a "Kinkiest boots, highest heels and coolest Little Feat memorabilia" contest.

  Sunday's Lucky 13 will be sponsored by Feat Fest and hosted by Vintage Cargo, Spexton and Regalia Handmade Clothing.
