Livingston Hollow will show you a fang or two on Halloween night at Chelsea’s. The show will feature an outrageous costume contest and intelligent lighting by DJ Kyle Egan’s smoke and lasers people!

Ø To everything there is a season. This is a time of harvest, and right on cue, Willie Nelson schedules a swing through Eureka.

  Time to reap and choose.

  This Friday, $116.50-ticket-holders, and special guests, are expected to fill the Auditorium and pay homage to the art of Willie’s 7th performance in Eureka.

ESSA Mad Hatter’s Ball

  Other, hipper, Friday-night thrill-seekers will flock to the Crescent Hotel Conservatory and Crystal Dining Room at 6:30 p.m. to plunk down a relative pittance ($50) for a shot at jump-starting tomorrow’s, not yesterday’s, Eureka Springs artists at ESSA’s 5th annual Mad Hatter’s Ball.

  The Ball is the Eureka Springs School of the Arts’ major, annual fundraiser. In a 4-dimensional environment of Drinking, Dining, Dancing and Dressing to the Nines, patrons of Eureka’s artistic future will seed support of a school which offers residents, residents’ children and visitors a wild curriculum of expressive, life-changing experiences each spring and fall.

  Ball-goers will dance to music performed by Big’uns (The Ed Nicholson Band). The gala will also feature a Hat Contest, fabulous food and a Silent Art Auction.

  To buy artistic work on a whim may be the exclusive domain of the rich. Supporting Eureka’s artists and their students is wide open to those who are merely wealthy.

  On the road ... again? Let’s meet on a new path. See you at the Crescent. You can leave your Mad Hat on. In fact, it’s required.
