Smith Benefit

The New Delhi Cafe will host a fundraiser for Francie and Brian Smith, Friday, Nov. 9.

The benefit will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature live music performed by Rachel Fields and an auction.

The Smith's Holiday Island apartment was destroyed by fire on Oct. 24. They lost all the possessions acquired during their 46-year marriage in the 20 minutes it took them to run to the store and back.

They also lost their cats, Sam and Charlie who had been their loving companions for 17 years.

Francie is the Citizen's office manager and Brian is president of the Eureka Theatre Company. For details, or to donate items for the auction, call New Delhi hostess Suzi Baker at 253-2525.

House Concert

Ø The Eureka House Concert series will conclude its fall line-up with a performance by Kate Campbell, Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Unitarian Church at 17 Elk St.

Born in New Orleans and based in Nashville, Campbell uses her songs to chronicle the sweeping societal changes confronting people and culture in the modern South.

The House Concert series offers music lovers unique performances in a smoke-free, multi-generational environment. They promise to have you home by 10 o'clock.
