Edward Louis Rambo, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born Dec. 14, 1949, in Hollywood, Calif., a son of Carroll Gordon and Mary Lou (Hull) Rambo. He died on Sunday, March 11 in Eureka Springs at the age of 57.
He was a police officer for several years with various agencies within Carroll County. He was a member of the American Legion Post #9 at Holiday Island. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with his home lodge being Basin Spring Lodge #386 in Eureka Springs and his consistory in Fort Smith.
He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam.
On Nov. 28, 1970 he married Ruth (Emigh) Rambo who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his sister and brother in law, Marybeth and Joe Mascal and his niece, Beth Mascal all of Kansas; a nephew, Michael Mascal of Nevada; his aunt, Patricia Ann Koshowsky and cousins, Ann and Daniel Jensen all of California; many other family members; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Mary Lou Rambo.
Military Rites will be at 11 a.m., Friday, March 16 at the Holiday Island Memorial Park. Masonic Rites will be administered at 1 p.m., Friday, March 16 at the Holiday Island Clubhouse.
