Alice Phoebe Penn Bottomley, 61, of Eureka Springs, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006 at her home.

She was born Oct. 21, 1945 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of William H. and Janet Rosain Penn.

She was a retired teacher who taught at Eureka Springs Elementary School for 25 years.

She is survived by two sons, Bret Bottomley of Cape Coral, Fla. and Brandon Bottomley of Gaithersburg, Md.; a daughter, Heidi Meyer of Fayetteville; three sisters, Christine Barton of Eureka Springs, Candace Frame of Gaithersburg, Md. and Priscilla Wdowiak of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one grandchild, Avery Alice Meyer.

A service was held on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Holiday Island Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Payne officiating. She was buried in the Eureka Springs Cemetery by Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.
