He was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He was a Mason, a member of the Holiday Island Baptist Church, and a member of the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by one son, Marvin Lee Capps, and his wife Tinsel, of Meadow Vista, Cal.; one daughter, Wanda Marie and her husband Bill Weeks of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Lucille Arnold of Holiday Island, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
He was united in marriage with Lucy Kathryn Everett, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Viola Quigly and Iva Ames, two brothers, Faye Capps and Clyde Capps, and two grandsons, Ricky Capps and Rocky Capps.
Funeral services were held on April 18, and interment will be in Sacramento, Cal. Memorial donations may be made to the Beulah Union Cemetery.
