Erbie Savannah Parkhill, a resident of Berryville, was born Feb. 16, 1926 in Compton, a daughter of Henry and Dovie Bartlett Phillips. She died Friday, July 6, 2007, at the age of 81.
She was the owner of the Country Bazaar. She and her husband wrote several books on cooking with honey. She was a nurse for Dr. Carter. She was also a Christian of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Crews Weems of Berryville; one grandson, Chad Weems, his wife Ora and a great granddaughter, Isabelle Weems, all of Eureka Springs; her fiancÚ, John Baker of Berryville; one brother, Ollie Phillips of Berryville; seven sisters, Agnes Mathis of Florence, Oregon, Inez Marshall of Monett, Missouri, Pauline Verhyan of Tarrytown, New York, Dottie Maloney of Cassville, Missouri, Izell Johnson of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Betty Martz and Virginia David of Bentonville.
On January 4, 1960, she married Joe Parkhill who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Alpha Phillips, and one sister, Martha Phillips.
Funeral Service were held July 9 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville with Dr. John Martz officiating. Interment followed in the Moreland Cemetery, north of Grandview.
