Monday, Jan. 14

  7:10 a.m. -- A vehicle ran off US62W and clipped a highway sign.

  8:09 a.m. -- An Emporia St. resident reported her fence damaged by vandals.

  9:07 a.m. -- A person kicking and abusing a dog on Oakridge Rd. was issued a warrant charging animal cruelty.

  1:45 p.m. -- A painting was vandalized downtown.

  3:33 p.m. -- A person on Oakridge Rd. who was issued an animal cruelty warrant earlier was arrested.

Tuesday, Jan. 15

  12:07 a.m. -- An officer responded to a motorist's request for assistance.

  3:44 a.m. -- An officer thought there was something suspicious about a "report of two almost-nude ladies knocking on a patron's door asking to use the phone" but when he arrived at the US62E lodging "they could not be found nor could hotel personnel be reached."

  1:50 p.m. -- An officer was unable to locate a reckless driver reported on US62W.

  1:50 p.m. -- A caller on Armstrong St. reported a theft of services.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

  11:19 a.m. -- An officer was unable to locate a man who entered the hospital with a dog and left without being treated.

  7:28 p.m. -- A dog serenading residents near the intersection of Washington and Summit Sts. refused to reveal its location to an officer.

Friday, Jan. 18

  2:37 p.m. -- A hit-and-run accident occurred near the intersection of Greenwood Hollow Rd. and Hwy. 23S.

  4:10 p.m. -- An officer received a second-hand smoke detector alarm report from the hospital.

  4:12 p.m. -- A female was arrested for theft of property at a Spring St. shop.

  4:50 p.m. -- A semi blocking traffic on the Historic Loop departed before an officer arrived.

  6:10 p.m. -- An officer was summoned to the hospital.

Saturday, Jan. 19

  2:09 a.m. -- A traffic stop near a Passion Play Rd. gas station resulted in an arrest for DWI.

  6:09 p.m. -- An officer found no basis for a complaint that a truck parked on Point St. was blocking traffic.

  6:49 p.m. -- The mayor informed police that a truck ascending Planer Hill was unloading metal piping as it went.

Sunday, Jan. 20

  1:10 p.m. -- The animal control officer took custody of a possibly ill dog tied up in the yard of a vacant Jay Ln. residence.

  5:31 p.m. -- A depositor triggered a false alarm at a US62 bank.

  8:22 p.m. -- "A neighbor shot his other neighbor's dog" on Mill Hollow Rd.

  11:51 p.m. -- An abandoned 911 call was traced to a US62W motel.
