Those are really, really big scissors -- The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Crescent Park cottages went off without a hitch on Saturday. EUREKA SPRINGS -- The first two of 19 Cottages at Crescent Park were officially opened in ribbon-cutting ceremonies held Saturday, attended by local and state government leaders and Congressman John Boozman.

The cottages mark an expansion of accommodations offered by the Crescent Hotel, whose owners, Marty and Elise Roenigk, spearheaded the development.

Jack Moyer, vice president of operations and development for the project as well as The Crescent and The Basin Park hotels, told the crowd that the two cottages have already had "heads in beds" and that "the response we have received from those guests who have experienced our new cottage accommodations has been overwhelmingly positive."

The entire project of 19 buildings will house 38 cottages. The four units opened Saturday are available for purchase and owners may place their units into the hotel's rental management program during those days and nights the owners are not personally using them.

Speaking during the ceremonies were Moyer, Eureka Springs Mayor Dani Joy, project architect Dave McKee, the Roenigk and Congressman Boozman.

"We kept our word on these two buildings," Marty Roenigk said, referring to the buildings' design which blends into the environment, "and we assure you those promises will remain firm on any and all future cottages that will be constructed."

For more information on the Cottages at Crescent Park, call Moyer at 253-9766, extension 122 or visit crescentpark-arkansas.com.

Any American who has a modicum of appreciation for the Constitution, Rule of law, prefers no preemptive genocidal wars for robber barons pursuit of oil, thinks children receiving health, care is important, and so many other fundamentals should be appalled at the appearance for any reason by John Booozeman. The man is enemy domestic by any and all measure of his voting record on all our behalf in the United States House of Representatives.

Standing with Boozeman is like wearing a t-shirt which says in large print - Hitler was right!
