James Richard Scarrow, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born April 14, 1928 in Berryville, a son of Lionel Earl and Jo (Franklin) Scarrow. He died on Monday, April 14 in Eureka Springs at the age of 80.
Scarrow was a carpenter and a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church.
On July 11, 1955, he married Mary Ann Roberts, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one son, Rick Scarrow and wife Tera of Berryville; two brothers, Bob Scarrow and wife Frieda of Booneville and Roy Scarrow and wife Linda of Berryville; two sisters, Betty Ambrose of Berryville and Dorothy and husband Merle Moore of Eureka Springs; four grandchildren, Lucas Scarrow, Stephanie Holland, Shaylyn Generaux and Katelyn Generaux; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billie and Linda Roberts; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Scarrow.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, April 17 at Rock Springs Cemetery with Brother Marvin Smith officiating under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc. On-line condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
