* African drummer and Eurekan Yao Angelo and his band, Ozakwaba, will perform at a benefit for Main Stage Creative Community Center on Saturday, April 26 at 8 p.m. in the ballroom of the Basin Park Hotel. The show will feature a foot-stomping mix of Afro-pop and reggae.
Angelo and band have headlined for the city's "Africa in the Ozarks" festival the past two years.
Tix are $15 at the door, cash or check only; no credit cards. More information is available through Main Stage Creative Community Center at 253-8060.
