Coming up in June

For participants and spectators, the Eureka Springs Off-road Triathlon on June 7 is a unique event. It's a real ordeal, combining swimming, running, and off-road biking, in a beautiful setting at Lake Leatherwood.

The 10th annual Native American Pow-Wow comes to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge June 13-15. In addition to craft booths, the weekend includes dancing, drumming, artists, wildlife exhibits, and more. This is an exciting and fun-filled weekend, and proceeds help to build natural habitats for the big cats of Turpentine Creek.

Here's another special way to celebrate the Father's Day weekend: the Street Rod and Custom Car Show on Saturday, June 14, is in its 14th year at Pine Mountain Village. There will be a parade, along with music, games, and fun for the whole family.

The Lucky 13 Outdoor Cinema starts its season with a double feature. This is such a special evening, fun for all. Bring a lawn chair, and enjoy some interesting and eclectic company. It's hard to explain, but the Outdoor Cinema is about so much more than movies.

Opera in the Ozarks starts a new season on June 20, with performances through July 19. The season starts with a performance of La Boheme. Come see why people get so passionate about opera!
