Tuesday, May 6

  12:45 a.m. -- An officer responded to a neighbor's complaint about a loud argument in progress at a residence near the intersection of Pivot Rock Rd. and Dairy Hollow Rd. and discovered the people in question were not even arguing.

  1:45 p.m. -- A detective investigated a tip about "suspicious circumstances" at a Pivot Rock Rd. housing complex but found nothing worth reporting.

  1:55 p.m. -- A person who refused to leave a US62E motel underwent a change of mind once an officer arrived.

  5:46 p.m. -- Police were unable to locate a door-to-door salesmen trying to sell electricity on US62W.

  7:25 p.m. -- A woman on Holiday Island asked police to look for her husband who was late returning home.

Wednesday, May 7

  10:42 a.m. -- A motorist involved in a one-vehicle accident on Emporia St. was arrested after police discovered he was named in an outstanding warrant.

  5:58 p.m. -- The operator of a gas station south of town at the intersection of Hwy. 23 and Hwy. 12 called police and reported fuel valued at $53.57 stolen in a drive off, then called back and said the motorist returned and settled up.

  8:43 p.m. -- An officer responded to a report of a flat bed, 18-wheeler driver who was "unable to stay on his side of the roadway" on US62W and encountered a driver who was "extremely lost."

  9:16 p.m. -- Police were told that a tenant who was evicted on Tuesday from a Pivot Rock Rd. residence had returned.

  10:19 p.m. -- A caller from Springdale asked police to check on the welfare of a two-year-old girl who was taken from her paternal grandparents' residence in Pineville, Mo. earlier in the day by her father but police were unable to locate the child.

Thursday, May 8

  12:56 p.m. -- A caller reported a reckless driver on Passion Play Rd. but an officer located and observed the vehicle and found no basis for official intervention.

  3:29 p.m. -- A gas drive off valued at $55.36 occurred at a Passion Play Rd. station.

  10:25 p.m. -- Three officers arrested a person named in outstanding warrants from Carroll County, Fayetteville and Rogers at a US62E residence.

Friday, May 9

  11:29 a.m. -- Rolling stones reported in the roadway on Hwy. 23N between the train depot and the sewer plant had gone missing by the time an officer arrived.

Saturday, May 10

  1:32 a.m. -- Two officers responded to a report about a domestic disturbance at a Pivot Rock Rd. residence and filed an official report.

  2:42 a.m. -- Following a neighbor's complaint, an officer asked revelers at a loud party on US62W to keep it down.

  8:07 a.m. -- A window was broken at a Judah St. business and extra patrols of the area were scheduled.

  9:54 a.m. -- A gas station on Passion Play Rd. reported a gas drive-off valued at $20.01.

  10 a.m. -- Officers observed a van parked and idling in Harmon Park until it ran out of gas.

  10 a.m. -- A stolen car was abandoned on the Historic Loop near Grotto Spring after the driver crashed it into a utility pole.

  1:47 p.m. -- Two officers and a detective inspected a vehicle reportedly abandoned in a US62E motel parking lot and discovered it had been stolen in Minnesota.

  1:52 p.m. -- A woman with a baby who was reportedly asking for money in front of a US62E family center disappeared before police arrived to question her.

  5 p.m. -- A guest who refused to leave a US62E motel was advised to reconsider by the law.

  10:06 p.m. -- Three officers responded to two reports of gunfire heard at the Leatherwood Ball Fields but were unable to find a smoking gun.

Sunday, May 11

  1:17 a.m. -- A Pine St. resident complained about dogs barking while caged in the back of a parked pickup.

  4:48 a.m. -- After an employee of a downtown hotel complained about a man banging on the door trying to get in, an officer escorted the subject to a motel on US62W where his room was located.

  6:15 p.m. -- On Mother's Day, a caller asked police to check on the welfare of his mother.

  6:56 p.m. -- Two officers intercepted a man who reportedly stole plants from a US62E nursery.

  10:40 p.m. -- A Dove Ln. resident complained about neighbors who were screaming at each other.
