Monday, May 12

  7:32 a.m. -- A delivery man startled an alarm at a US62E restaurant.

  1:20 p.m. -- A US62W resident complained about a delivery man who entered his residence unannounced.

  9:02 p.m. -- Prior to her arrest at a US62E restaurant, an "intoxicated female was screaming profanity at the hostess because all of her credit cards were declined."

Tuesday, May 13

  12:23 a.m. -- A person named in outstanding warrants was arrested on Center St.

  9:12 a.m. -- Police stopped an elderly motorist who was driving across the center line on the wrong side of Hwy. 23N and suggested he let his wife drive, which he did.

  12:20 p.m. -- Following a call to police from her daughter, a missing Alzhiemer's patient was located at a neighbor's residence.

  4:26 p.m. -- A search by personnel from the fire department and the Carroll County Special Operations Rescue Team was initiated after a caller from a retirement center told police a suicidal resident went missing after possibly removing a box of narcotics.

  5:40 p.m. -- A caller told police about a man who keeps text messaging him to fight.

  8:36 p.m. -- Police were asked to schedule extra patrols of the courthouse to ensure that a delivery of expensive rocks was not molested.

  9:07 p.m. -- Police notified the sheriff's department after "An intoxicated female called in to report an intoxicated male driving an old Chrysler New Yorker from Cliff St. to Hwy. 23S, Hwy. 23N or to Berryville."

  9:11 p.m. -- Police decided not to go out on a limb after they investigated a report of a tree branch hanging in the Benton St. roadway.

  9:41 p.m. -- A caller asked police to escort her aunt to a Pivot Rock Rd. residence.

Thursday, May 15

  8:32 a.m. -- Police were asked to eyeball a suspicious vehicle that entered a US62E bank's parking lot.

  8:44 a.m. -- An officer spoke with two Chestnut St. neighbors about a property line dispute and advised them to seek resolution through the courts.

  9:53 a.m. -- People involved in a verbal disturbance in the office of a US62E motel left before police arrived.

  11:48 a.m. -- Parks and Recreation department personnel notified police about a large, white dog running loose on the Leatherwood ballfields.

  12:36 p.m. -- A caller from a Judah St. inn complained about receiving harassing communications and police scheduled extra patrols of the facility.

  8:27 p.m. -- Police received information about a "crotch rocket" driving erratically on US62E.

Friday, May 16

  6:18 a.m. -- A one-vehicle accident closed US62 east of the city limits but no one was injured.

  6:36 a.m. -- A Hillside Ave. resident complained for nine minutes to an officer about a laundry list of grievances which included everything from a mail truck which drives too fast at 6:30 every morning to a dip in the roadway created by public works and advised police they should buy some donuts and eat them while waiting for speeders.

Saturday, May 17

  1:01 p.m. -- An East Mountain resident complained about loud motorcycles and was told officers were issuing tickets to riders with straight exhaust pipes without mufflers.

  2:46 p.m. -- A caller from downtown who was disgusted with loud motorcycles was informed officers are writing citations for bikers running illegal exhaust pipes.

  4:10 p.m. -- The operator of a US62W shop told police several items had been stolen from her store.

  7:07 p.m. -- A neighbor involved in a Chestnut St. property line dispute told police he had received harassing communications.

  9:27 p.m. -- After a caller complained about a black car parked in a bad spot on Dawson Ln., an investigating officer determined it was situated in "a good parking space."

  9:57 p.m. -- Two officers responded to a report about a male touching a young girl in Basin Spring Park and discovered "all were nowhere to be found."

  10:20 p.m. -- An intoxicated driver was arrested on Judah St.

Sunday, May 18

  1:28 p.m. -- The manager of a Passion Play Rd. station reported a gas drive-off.

  8:29 p.m. -- An officer was unable to locate a grey car reportedly speeding toward town on Hwy. 23S.
