Edith Creech Craig

  Edith Creech Craig, a resident of Holiday Island, was born June 3, 1927 in Cumberland, Ky., a daughter of Douglas and Beulah (Tweed) Creech. She died on Thursday, May 22 in Eureka Springs at the age of 80.

  Mrs. Craig attended the Holiday Island Community Church and was in many presentations presented by the Holiday Island Community Theater. She was also and avid reader.

  On Aug. 25, 1967, she married George Patrick Craig, who survives her of the home. She is also survived by one son, Michael Barker and wife Elizabeth of Keokuk, Iowa; two sisters, Doris Ferguson of Montana and Evelyn Prieb of Wyacondia, Mo.; one step-daughter, Diana Lee of Des Moines, Iowa; one step-son, David Patrick of Florida; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Gary Barker, and two sisters, Ina West and Eva Schlarbaum.
