Noah Fletcher Putman, a resident of Holiday Island, was born Nov. 26, 1922 in Moro, a son of Charley and Nellie (St. John) Putman. He died on Tuesday, May 20 in Holiday Island at the age of 85.

  On June 28, 1996 Putman married Aileen Lydia Mary Murphy who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two children, Charles Putman and David Putman and wife Marge; three step-children, Darrell McGowen and wife Ruth, Lucinda Pearman and Novella Maia; five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; three sisters, Mavis Boorem, Cora McClanahan, Robbie Wisdom and Judy and husband Dalton Williams; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

  Putman was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, one step-son, Lester, and two former wives.
