When you travel, food is part of the fun, especially in the Eureka Springs area. It's more than just fuel for the body, and it should be! You may enjoy lunch looking over the streets of the city. The sun setting over the lake brings out the flavors of a leisurely dinner and a glass of wine. So be sure and plan a little time in your schedule to enjoy the many places here to enjoy food and drink. Our town is the home of quite an array of restaurants.
Maybe you've been disappointed before by restaurants catering to tourists. They don't plan to see you ever again, and they're more concerned with getting you in the door than in pleasing your palate. Eureka Springs is different in that regard--you'll see local folks at the next table. And you'll see why the people who live here are so proud of their restaurants.
So go ahead and build up an appetite hiking around town or enjoying the Ozark outdoors. Because when it's time to sit down and recharge your batteries, you can do it in whatever style suits you, from formal to casual, from home-cooking to foreign specialities. Soup's on!
