Music from the Beatles will play from 7 p.m. until dusk, when the movies can start. In Across the Universe, released in the fall of 2007, the music of the Beatles and the Vietnam War form the backdrop for the romance between an upper-class American girl and a poor artist from Liverpool. It will be followed by The Wizard of Oz, played with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon as a soundtrack, a cult phenomenon sometimes called The Dark Side of the Rainbow.
Admission is $3 for adults, and $1 for kids under 12.
Other movies run throughout July, and after a "vacation" during most of August, the season ends on Aug. 31.
So why not try some cheap, clean, strange family fun? The Lucky 13 Starlight Cinema is part of Stay-Over Sundays, which encourages visitors to take an extra day and enjoy a little bit more of Eureka Springs.
