3rd Annual "A Taste of the Opera" to be presented
"A Taste of the Opera" musical dinner will be presented at the Crescent Hotel's Crystal Dining Room on Wednesday, July 9. The evening will include a 5:30 wine reception followed by dinner at 6, accompanied by popular opera selections and Broadway show tunes performed by members of the 2008 cast of Opera in the Ozarks.

CC Habitat Affiliate announces new officers
Following approval by Habitat for Humanity International, the Carroll County affiliate recently elected officers. Securing the Federal Exemption Certificate as a 501C3 organization permits Habitat for Humanity Carroll County to receive tax reportable money and gifts from individuals and organizations. HI clean-up needs volunteers
Volunteers are needed to help the Holiday Island Homeowners Association with a shoreline cleanup of debris. Table Rock Lake and its tributary, Leatherwood Creek, will be cleaned up Thursday, June 26, with a rain date of July 1. Main Stage invites all kids to join the July 5 parade
All kids, young and old, are invited to join Main Stage in the July 5 "Red, White and You" Parade. Participants are invited to bring bikes, strollers, wagons or anything that can roll down Spring St. to Main Stage's campus at 67 N. Main at 11 a.m. on July 5.
Main Stage will have staff available to help decorate entries in Old Glory colors. Participants are asked to bring at least one roll of crepe paper streamers in red, white or blue and a roll of tape and add-ons like flags or banners.

EUU to present 'Religion & Homosexuality'
On Sunday, June 29, the Eureka Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will discuss the religious response to homosexuality and discuss whether faith is living and dynamic or just static rules and formulas. Bees to swarm at the Carnegie
Eureka Springs resident Scott Thompson will present a program at the Eureka Springs Carnegie Public Library on Monday, June 30 at 9:30 a.m. on what it's like to be a beekeeper.
Thompson has a long-standing interest in bees and the work they do and he will share his own buzz on bees. This is a program for children of all ages. A short film on how a colony of bees is introduced to a new hive will be shown along with an exhibit of beekeeping gear and samples of the products that bees provide. Jesus Christ Superstar will be performed at the First United Methodist Church of Eureka Springs on Hwy. 23S on Wednesday, July 2 at 7 p.m. The Agape Singers Youth Choir of Memorial Drive UMC in Houston, Texas will perform. This is a free performance and all are invited.

HI Golf Course to host Camp Barnabas Golf Benefit
The 10th Annual Camp Barnabas Golf Benefit and Silent Auction will be held Saturday, July 12 at the Holiday Island Golf Course. It's a scramble format with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
All proceeds from this event will provide scholarships for children who have terminal or serious, chronic illnesses or disabilities who otherwise could not afford the experience.
Also, on Friday, July 11 at 4 p.m., area golf professionals will play a nine-hole shoot out. Afterwards, the public is invited to enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs and extras for a minimum donation of $5 per person.

Reservations now open for HI Flea Market
