Citizen of the Week

  This week's Citizen of the Week is Cynthia Safarik, aka Cynthia Re Robbins, Eureka Springs' 2007 Artist of the Year. Her nominator says she recently did a big favor for the city's tourism industry by organizing a McDonald family reunion which brought 67 people to town for three days. "Most of us had never heard of Eureka Springs. Cynthia shared her love of the city and we'll be sharing that with our friends and neighbors when we get home," her nominator said. Cynthia's family reunion members span four generations and traveled from California, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, New Jersey, Vermont and elsewhere. We think artists make great ambassadors for the city. Especially Cynthia.
