Mila Joy Evans, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born April 16, 1929 in Tulsa, Okla., a daughter of Kater and Dora (Glenn) Cousins. She died on Thursday, July 17 in Eureka Springs at the age of 79.

Ms. Evans was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna and her husband John Gay of Eureka Springs; two sons, Clifford Holt of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Isacc Lee Holt of Salem, Ore.; and one grandson, Kevin Hillhouse of Eureka Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
