The Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow will offer a number of workshops during autumn.
Author Laura Parker Castoro will teach "Get It Published! Marketing and Selling Your Fiction and Non-fiction Books," on Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13.
Castoro is the author of 37 books in several genres, and has appeared on the USA Today bestseller list.
Other workshops in the series include "Foolproof Pie Making," on Thursday, Sept. 11, with food writer Stephanie Rosenbaum; "Rollin' in the Kitchen," also on Thursday, Sept. 11, with caterer Jane Tucker; and "An Ozark Sunday Brunch on the Deck," on Sunday, Sept. 14, with food writer Stephanie Rosenbaum.

Hooks Signature Gallery at 7 Center St. will host a double feature on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Eureka Springs author Dan Ellis will be on hand to debut his newest destination book, Romancing Eureka, and Hooks will debut recent paintings by Barbara Mailer, widow of the late Norman Mailer.
Mailer's oils are taken from her latest book, Cheap Diamonds.

The annual Artists Studio Tour will take place Sept. 26 through 28.
The tour is free and self-guided. Participants will experience "behind the scenes" views of local artists' latest work.
A wide variety of media, including musical instrument building, painting, fiber arts, sculpture, pottery, weaving, jewelry and lamp work will be included.
An artists reception will be held at the Carnegie Public Library meeting room on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m.
Tour books for the event are available at the Chamber of Commerce, the Visitors Center, The Art Colony, the Auditorium and Keels Creek Winery.
Eureka Theatre Company (ETC) will hold open auditions for its Readers' Theatre production of Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 15 and 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Gavioli Chapel.
The play will be produced on Oct. 17 and 18. There are 79 different characters, so participants should be prepared to read a variety of different roles. Young adults to seniors are welcome. For details, call 253-7995.

A commemorative plaque will be presented at Zarks Fine Design Gallery at 7 p.m. during the Sept. 13 Second Saturday Gallery Stroll.
ESGA $500 prize
The Eureka Springs Gallery Association (ESGA) will offer, for the third time, a chance to win a $500 gift certificate during the Sept. 13 Second Saturday Gallery Stroll.
Patrons can go to any of nine ESGA galleries for an entry card and have it punched at each of the other member galleries.
One entry per person is allowed and the participants need not be present for the drawing on Sunday, Sept. 14 in Basin Spring Park. The winning gift certificate may be used at any one or all of the associated galleries.
