Editor:
My experience in Eureka Springs has grown progressively less enjoyable over the past few years with the increased number of motorcycles with aftermarket "drag" style exhaust pipes -- the main purpose being to increase the sound levels.
I love this town, but the noise levels have become unbearable and the pleasure of being there is becoming a memory rather than a reality.

Split Carroll County in two
Editor:
We live on CR 209 in western Carroll County. For two years our road has worn down to bedrock and is filled with potholes. We have contacted Judge Williams on several occasions and asked him to grade CR 209 and cover it with rock.
On June 24, we visited with Williams and submitted the description of our land made by the bank and abstract company. Throughout the papers, our property is described as being located on County Road 209. Nowhere is CR 209 described as a county road, as Williams maintains.
After looking at our documents, Williams made copies of them and said he would investigate further. It has been more than two months since then and he has not called us yet.
At this time, we have 11 families who use CR 209. Each day, it becomes increasingly difficult to travel our road.
Carroll County Judges, in the past, graded and rocked CR 209. Why has that stopped? Eleven families pay taxes to Carroll County but we receive next to nothing in return.
Meanwhile, we hear that Judge Williams backs the closure of Eureka's courthouse, the only one in the state that makes money. It is a beautiful and historic building and is an important part of the life blood of our economy. Why should we pay for a new courthouse in Berryville while ours serves us well?
I think we should seriously consider seceding from the eastern aggression of Carroll County and become our own Lovely County, again.

Bless the Fockers
Editor:
We at Flint Street Fellowship Food Pantry want to extend our extreme gratitude to W.T. Focker & Co. Discount Grocery.
Its food donations to our pantry have been a major help to our storeroom. In speaking with them, it is obvious they truly have a heart for the needy and want to be of service to the community.
Thank you, gals, for your wonderful generosity, and God bless you.

Constitution Week coverage lauded
Editor:
I am very proud of the Constitution Week coverage. Seems it all came together beautifully.
The children's reading of the Constitution. A tour of our historical court house. The children were so well behaved and responsive. Mr. Ford's photos were great -- he selected such interesting, spontaneous, moments to capture. Don Lee's editorial was so interesting and full of deep thought!
Thank you for your time and effort.
