Benton Ray Hudspeth, 63, of the White Oak Community near Marble, died Sept. 21, at his home. He was born May 28, 1945 in the White Oak Community, the son of Frank and Cora Ann Smith Hudspeth.

He was a retired construction worker, a Baptist and a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Army. He loved to fish, hunt, camp and do outdoor activities. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jessie Hudspeth, Johnny Hudspeth and Jerry Hudspeth.

Survivors include one son, Andrew Hudspeth of Eureka Springs; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bill Hudspeth of the home, Bobby and Nora Hudspeth of Berryville and Jimmy and Joyce Hudspeth of Huntsville; three sisters, Berta Hudspeth of the home, Pearl Campbell of Metalton and Betty Littrell of Springdale; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services were held Sept. 24 in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Rev. Alvin Reynolds officiating. Interment followed in the Lower Campground Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville.
