William "Bill" Kovach, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born Nov. 18, 1940 in Chicago, Ill., a son of Bert and Anna (Novack) Kovach. He died Dec. 28 in Eureka Springs at the age of 68.
Mr. Kovach was a member of the Eureka Springs Volunteer Fire Fighters. He loved his Yorkies, Muffin and Sassy, his Schnauzer, Charlie and his Sheltie, Candy.
On Aug. 15, 1981, he married Linda Homolka who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Shelley Joyce and husband Michael Kwiat of Chicago, Ill. and Michele and husband Michael Linden of Aurora, Ill.; two sons, Todd Couch and wife Donna of Steger, Ill. and Bradley Kovach and wife Nicole of Monee, Ill.; four grandsons; one granddaughter; one sister, Lillian Cohen of Arlington Heights, Ill.; several brothers and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bert and Joseph Kovach and one sister-in-law, Nancy Sanders.
Memorial services were held Jan. 2 at the Nelson's Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs with Fire Chief Eddie Davis officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
