Violet Catron, a resident of Berryville, was born March 25, 1923 in Carroll County, a daughter of Frank and Fannie (Gunnels) Robinson. She died Jan. 24 in Berryville, at the age of 85.
Ms. Catron was a member of the Faith Christian Family Church in Eureka Springs. She loved to trout fish on the White River.
She is survived by three sons, Gary R. Catron of Eureka Springs, Rex Lynn Catron and wife Carla K. of Rogers and Gail E. Catron and wife Cynthia of Park Hills, Mo.; one daughter, Nancy Ann and husband Ron Newburn of Eureka Springs; two sisters, Loraine Davidson of Missouri and Jimmie Lou Robinson of Berryville; four brothers, Edward Robinson of Eureka Springs, Frankie Lee Robinson of Berryville, Joe Rex Robinson of Eureka Springs and Jack Robinson of Berryville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
On Dec. 26, 1941, she married Clifton Lewis Catron, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, one son, Larry F Catron, one brother, Bill Robinson and one grandson, Khristopher Aaron Catron.
Funeral services were held Feb. 2 at the Nelson's Chapel of the Springs with Rev. Gary Hayhurst officiating. Interment followed at Beaver Cemetery, next to her husband Clifton, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
