AAC to offer Artist Fellowships

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

The Arkansas Arts Council (AAC) invites Arkansas artists to apply for 2010 Individual Artist Fellowships.

AAC artist fellowships are unconditional awards that recognize individual artistic ability in three categories: contemporary and traditional crafts; short stories; and film and video.

AAC will award up to nine $4,000 fellowships in fiscal year 2010. The deadline for receiving applications is Friday, May 8. To be eligible for fellowship awards, an artist must be at least 25 years of age and must have been an Arkansas resident for at least one year at the time of application. Previous fellowship recipients are not eligible to apply.

Fellowship applications are available at www.arkansasarts.org and directly from AAC. For details, contact Sally A. Williams, artist services manager, at sally@arkansasheritage.org, or call (501) 324-9348 or (501) 324-9811.
