Eureka Springs High School junior Willie Galyen (left, in orange shirt) is this week's Citizen of the Week. His nominator was moved by his recent efforts on behalf of children who participated in the recent Box Car Derby competition. She writes, "He donated his time for a Special Needs child's car the day before the event to make certain that she would be able to join the race. When we went to buy parts, he wouldn't even let me pay for them. Then he showed up to watch her. He has a heart of pure gold." The nomination was seconded by 18 Eureka Springs school children ... and a lot more people who appreciate Willie Galyen.
