The Holiday Island Chamber of Commerce has offered friends of Kate Lucariello an opportunity to serve dinner and sell desserts on the Fourth of July, at the Holiday Island.

The Pulled Pork Barbeque Dinner, to earn money as a fundraiser for Kate and Andrew Lucariello to help them "stay in the swing of things," after a car accident that left Kate hospitalized and in rehabilitation until just this past Friday.

The dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m., with takeout available. (Get there early and you'll get to watch Friends of Kate set-up and possibly hear a lame joke or two.)

The dinner is open to the public and the cost is $8 with an additional $1.50 for desserts.

The Pulled Pork BBQ Dinner is part of the Holiday Island Chamber of Commerce's day-long Fourth of July celebration at the Holiday Island Rec Center, beginning at 2 p.m. and culminating with the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.

For more info on all the events planned for the day call the H.I. Information Center at (479) 253-7700.

To volunteer with serving or donating desserts, call (479) 981-0257 or see Mary in the office at Sunfest.
