Traxler was a painter and sculptor who lived a life as astonishingly colorful as her paintings. She painted everything from doors to chairs to canvas. Her strong sense of color had a vibrational quality similar to Van Gogh, but with a special Traxler twist.
She liked her art to test the limits in content, color and materials. Her sculpture often utilized found objects like bowling bowls or garden rakes in a way that compelled the viewer to see everyday objects in entirely different ways.
