Pease; his children, Jonathan and Sheila Pease, Dawnn and Mark Repp, and David Pease; his grandchildren, Conner Repp, Katherine Repp and Matthew Repp; brother Frederick Peace of Eureka Springs; and sisters Cheryl Carlson, Karen Carvalho and Sharen Bradstater.
Born Aug. 6, 1942 in Niles, Mich., he was the second son of Frederick M. Pease and Arbella Marie Grace Pease (Anstiss). A long-time resident of Des Moines, Iowa, and Dallas, Texas, Jon graduated from the University of Northern Iowa after serving four years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired several years ago from a successful career in the insurance and risk management industry.
In 2001, Jon and Twyla commenced the renovation of the former Ozarka Water Company's Round House bordering Main Street and Hillside Ave. The couple had split their time between the Round House, and a farm in Newton County where Jon bred Branghorn cattle.
Jon was a former private pilot, a voracious reader, a devoted genealogist, and in later years a skilled wood worker. He is survived by his faithful companion, a chocolate Lab named Maggie. He will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by his family and friends.
A private ceremony will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to Eureka Christian Health Outreach, 195 Huntsville Rd., Eureka Springs, AR 72632.
