Eureka Thyme will host an author's reception for Paul Harris on Oct. 24 from 4 to 6 p.m.
His Diary from the Dome, Reflections on Fear and Privilege During Katrina is a personal chronicle of two very different trips to New Orleans.
The first chronicle is the author's 1977 trip, recorded in his journals as "a naive 21-year-old discovering himself." The second trip finds the author trapped by Hurricane Katrina as a tourist inside the New Orleans Superdome with 20,000 other helpless people.
