Fannie Pearl Couey, a resident of Springdale, was born Nov. 20, 1932 in Berryville to Coy and Olga (Ary) Farmer. She died on Oct. 14 in Springdale at the age of 76.
Mrs. Couey worked for the John Ascuaga's Nugget Casino in Reno, Nev. for many years, where she was an assistant to the entertainers. She also worked at Glick and Ocoma and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Couey is survived by her two sons, Allen Joy Couey and wife Judy of Woodland, Utah and Clint Dale Couey of Berryville; five daughters, Sandra and husband Louis Boyd of Green Forest, Donna White of Springdale, Brenda and husband Loren Sharp of Springdale, Colleen and husband Terry Mattox of Eureka Springs and Melissa and husband Melvin Sullivan of Heber Springs; one sister, Avanell Stiles of Berryville; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
On Aug. 13, 1973 she married Harold Raven Couey who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents and one son, Billy Ray Couey.
