Margie Levern Eagle, April 30, 1943 -- Oct. 15, 2009

Margie Levern Eagle, a resident of Berryville, was born April 30, 1943 in Berryville to Roy Stephen and Irene (Tice) Sims. She died on Oct. 15 in her home, in Berryville at the age of 66 years.

Mrs. Eagle worked as food service manager at the Berryville Schools for 13 years. She is known to many former Berryville students as "the lunch lady." She also worked for Hart's Family Center in Eureka Springs for seven years. Margie was a member of the Westside Christian Church.

In 1966 she married J.C. Eagle who survives her of the home. She is also survived by three children, Teresa and husband Charles Heritage of Van Buren, Brett and wife Kathey Rainwater of Berryville and Leasa and husband Tony Minney of Berryville; one brother, James Dale Sims of Jay, Okla.; two sisters, Doris Banard and Virginia Anderson both of Springdale; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Louella Niteske; two brothers, LeRoy Sims and Carroll Sims; and two grandchildren, Alicia Gail Taylor and Katelynn Paige Minney.

Funeral services were held on Oct, 20 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Brother Jim Cisco officiating. Interment followed in the Plumlee Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Hospice-Berryville, 804 W.
