Citizens of the Week

The 277 children at Eureka Springs Elementary have nominated Robert and Linda Packham of Hanover Park, Ill. as this weeks COWs. They write, "For at least 10 years they have sent one or two books to our school library at Christmas. The tradition has been going on for so long, we don't even know why it began in the first place! They always send the latest editions of the best children's authors. They always put a lot of thought into their selections. This year, the books are extra great: The Lion and the Mouse by Jerry Pinkney and 14 Cows for America by Carmen Deedy. We cannot put a face to the names of these thoughtful people, but we certainly want to thank them."
