Kenneth Dean Holland, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born June 29, 1931 in Sudan, Texas. He died on Jan. 9 in Berryville at the age of 78. Ken was the son of Cecil and Josephine (Boatright) Holland.
Ken attended schools in Urbanette and Berryville. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a retired plumber.
Ken is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Lou Lenzenhuber of Ridgecrest, Calif. and Debra and Francis Vincent of Anaheim, Calif.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and Vicki Holland of Costa Mesa, Calif., Jim and Carol Holland of Orange, Calif. and Joe Holland of Whittier, Calif. Ken's grandchildren include Shawna and Scot Olson, Phillip Bumm, Ralph C. Rampley, Jr. and Kenneth and Carissa Rampley. Ken also had six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers. Billy and Bobby Holland and one sister, Barbara Ann Staphil. Ken was cremated. There will be no services.
