Ruth May Arrowsmith, a resident of Humble, Texas, formerly of Green Forest, was born May 8, 1923 in Greeley County, Kan., a daughter of Ben H. and Ida (Minnich) Crow. She died on Feb. 14 in Houston, Texas at the age of 86.
A homemaker, Ruth was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Green Forest and a member of the Women's Ministries.
Mrs. Arrowsmith is survived by one son, Kenneth Lee Arrowsmith and wife Lisa of Sullivan, Mo.; three daughters, Delores Ann Doyle of Harrison, Joyce Ruth and husband Ronnie Haynes of Wellton, Ariz. and Beverly Sue Gibson of Humble, Texas; one brother, Albert Crow and wife Emily Jo of Huntsville; four sisters, Helen Oldham of Berryville, Gloria Kelley of Eureka Springs, Gladys Foster of Eureka Springs and Patsy and husband Tom Gage of Berryville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of other family and friends.
On Jan. 21, 1943 Ruth married Harold Seth Arrowsmith who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents; one daughter, Ida Yvonne Arrowsmith; and one brother, Wilbur Crow.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 20 at First Assembly of God Church in Green Forest with Pastor Mark Bryant officiating.
