Curtis Lee Trammel of Eureka Springs died on Feb. 23 at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville at the age of 88.
He was born on Feb. 14, 1922 in Cleveland to Monroe and Mary (Groblebe) Trammel. Curtis was a life-long resident of Eureka Springs.
He was a farmer, timber worker and an avid hunter and fisherman. He served two years in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a brother, Paul, of Eureka Springs, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Annabelle Dowell.
Funeral services were held on March 1 at the Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs with Pastor Gary Hayhurst officiating. Interment followed at the Eureka Springs Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
