Citizen of the Week

Peggy Kjelgaard is this week's COW. Her nominator writes, "Effervescent, vivacious, and fun. Combine these attributes with hard work, boundless energy and dedication and you've got a dynamic woman by the name of Peggy Kjelgaard. As the Eureka Springs School of the Arts (ESSA) Executive Director for the past four years, Peggy steered ESSA into becoming a nationally recognized art school. She hosted ESSA's Mad Hatter Ball and, most recently, Re Art. She is now a member of the ES Arts Council and will be a key player in the May Fine Arts Festival. Peggy is a real 'can do' person whose enthusiasm and effort are a terrific asset to our tourism-oriented economy."
