Citizen of the Week

Thursday, May 6, 2010

(Photo)
This week's COW is none other than Vernon Tucker, longtime journalist and newly-retired editor of the Lovely County Citizen. As Vernon at last takes the hard-earned time to pursue his "ultimate photography project" and his love of the outdoors, he leaves behind a treasure-trove of well-turned phrases, insightful opinions, commentary and editorials in the Citizen and other newspapers to which he contributed. Taking this step away from the newspaper business after nearly 50 years doesn't mean Vernon is through with journalism by any means, so stay tuned. Meanwhile, he'll be enjoying a few days out on the river and relaxing with the newspaper over his coffee at Myrtie Mae's with no deadlines!

The only person in my experience that I would unreservedly call a genius. Plays well with others; does not tolerate fools gladly. I am SO curious about the ultimate photography project.... go Vernon!
