Some fine artists to discover this week at local galleries:

The Jewel Box Gallery - Wayne Schmidt presenting new stones and jewelry designs fabricated in silver.

83 Spring Street Gallery -- Mark and Eli Hopkins return to 83 Spring Street Gallery! The theme for this event is Child's Play.

Zarks Fine Design Gallery -- Rollin Karg: hot glass and cold steel -- blown glass and metal sculptures.

Fusion Squared -- John Rinehart incorporates dichroic glass into his fused glass and stained glass pieces which have led him down new, exciting roads in his enchanted journey.

J. A. Nelson Gallery -- See the beautiful wood and acrylic creations of Jim Nelson.

Eureka Thyme -- One-of-a-kind creations by Ken Starbird and Sandy Wythawai Starbird. Ken's clay sculpture and Sandy's primal images are an experience to be cherished.

Quicksilver Gallery -- Mark Nichols, paper artist extraordinaire, discusses his handmade paper, treated with powdered metal. The combination of organics and metals question what is reality.
