Jim Evans has "three or four" part-time jobs in addition to being Eureka Springs' Animal Control Officer. He drives his own truck, pays his own gas, and gets up when the phone rings in the wee morning hours (even though he's not on duty) to help someone with an animal-related problem.
He's rescued dogs from wrecked vehicles and has been known to take animals to shelters in other counties to save them from being euthanized. He says his goal is to make "just a little bit of difference" -- and we think he does that every day.
Two paws up, Jim!
