Long time Eureka Springs resident and artist, Betty Maffei died on Friday, June 18. She is survived by her children Carole McClearen of Berryville; Michael Maffei of Memphis, Tenn.; Toni Albers of Osage; and four grandchildren, Kate McGuinness and Tony Maffei both of Nashville, Tenn., Ryan Albers of Tulsa, Okla., and Austin Albers of Rogers, Ark.; and also five great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Tony Maffei, and her son Joseph Maffei.
Betty was an active citizen of the Eureka Springs area and was involved with the Eureka Springs Art Guild, the Good Shepherd Humane Society and St. James Episcopal Church. She was also co-owner of Maffei-Albers Photography for many years with her daughter, Toni Albers.
Her memorial service will be held Saturday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church. Memorial donations should be made to the St. James Episcopal Church or the Good Shepherd Humane Society.
