Oscar Pryor Weiner, the dogson of Karen and Tom Pryor, was the only weiner dog from Arkansas selected to participate in the 2008 Weiner Dog Nationals in Kansas City.

Mayor Dani Joy proclaimed July 31 as Oscar Pryor Weiner Day for his stellar performance as an ambassador for our town and even gave him a trophy -- an Oscar, of course.

Oscar has retired from the racing circuit because there's just no place like home, it's the dog days of summer, and well, show-circuit dogs were uppity and he'd rather chase balls, squirrels and cats to keep his racing form.
