Citizen of the Week

Wednesday, December 1, 2010

(Photo)
For 30 years Jean Elderwind has been the heart and soul of the Eureka Springs Carnegie Public Library. During her tenure as head librarian, she has tirelessly and zealously sought to offer the community the best resources for knowledge. On every level she has made a difference.

Her vigilance has maintained our beautiful building. Her diligence secured an elevator, computers and the Annex next door, among many things.

What is best is that the library has retained a warm atmosphere year after year. In December Jean will leave her position to become director of the Carroll Madison Library system.

Jean is a classy lady and has done a wonderful job keeping the ES Library the jewel that it is. Congratulations Jean!
