JAMES M. "DUTCH" LEHR, departed this life Sunday, to be with Our Lord December 5, 2010 in Bentonville, at the age of 94. He was a resident of Washburn, Missouri for the past year and resided in Holiday Island, Arkansas for 29 years. He was born August 11, 1916 in Hutchinson, Kansas, a son of Frank and Bertha (Stebbins) Lehr. On April 12, 1936, he was united in marriage with JoAnne (Ricks) Lehr who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one son, Richard Todd Lehr and wife Lavon of Washburn, MO; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.Dutch served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked as the director of meat operations for Nash-Finch Company. He was a Paul Harris member of Rotary, member of Holiday Island Elks Club, former commissioner at Holiday Island, served on the Holiday Island Fire Department, a former treasurer of the Eureka Springs Hospital, attended the Holiday Island Community Church and an avid golfer.He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bertha Lehr; one son; four brothers; and two sisters.Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Holiday Island Community Church with Reverend Alan Thrasher officiating. Interment will be at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas.
