Citizen of the Week
December 31 marks the end of our library's 100th year. The building thrives as a living archive of our city's history, and no one has recorded and researched that history like June Westphal. She is a treasure of Eureka Springs knowledge and the epitome of a life-long learner. A Eureka Springs native, she is considered the eminent historian of the town. Among her works are A Fame Not Easily Forgotten, co-written with Catharine Osterhage; and The Eureka Chronicles: Ten Decades of History, 1880s to 1980s.
